IDEA Partner is 'Highly Commended' for their IT Mentoring Scheme

IDEA was delighted to have been shortlisted for the Business in the Community Regional Awards and to be recognised during the awards presentation. IDEA was also pleased to have been a supporter of BT's highly commended 'Innovative New Programme' that has worked to establish a IT mentoring scheme across the country.

The winners of this year's Business in the Community Awards were unveiled at the Awards Gala Dinner on 14th June 2011 in the beautiful surroundings of Hengrave Hall, outside Bury St Edmunds.  This prestigious occasion was an opportunity to recognise, reward and celebrate the impact businesses from across the East of England have on society and the local community, as well as a chance to learn, share best practice and celebrate their  success over the last 12 months.

The emphasis apprentices and apprenticeship schemes received throughout nominations demonstrates the true value and business benefits of employing and investing in apprentices.

The scheme buddies young people considering a career in IT with colleagues who have already established their careers within the sector and IDEA Apprentices were given the opportunity of participating in this scheme as mentors.
