Pathways to Success
University isn’t the only pathway to a successful career, why not learn and earn by embarking upon an apprenticeship. If you want to continue studying but don’t want to pay the rising cost of tuition fees then an apprenticeship could be for you.
IDEA Ltd is looking to recruit students to join its Federated Apprenticeship Scheme in IT. Successful candidates will complete an Advanced Apprenticeship in IT Professionals working towards nationally recognised qualifications while gaining valuable work experience: giving you a competitive advantage in the jobs market. Beyond the apprenticeship there are opportunities to gain qualifications up to Post Graduate level supported by IDEA.
Apprentices are employed by local businesses that have a strong use of IT, not just IT companies. One day each week will be spent studying at BT’s global research centre, Adastral Park in Martlesham. Unlike other apprenticeship schemes, IDEA will encourage and support you to network with other apprentices allowing you to broaden your understanding and share ideas with others.
When commenting about his experience on the scheme James Eade, IDEA Apprentice said:
“Being on this apprenticeship has helped me immensely. It has given me an insight into how the world of business really works whilst allowing me to gain a qualification in the process. It has been an eye-opening experience.
Learning on the job has been fantastic for me, teaching me far more than I could have learnt in the classroom! I have learnt so much and really enjoy being an apprentice, I am now very confident in my job role and am able to teach others.”
The next intake to join the IDEA Apprenticeship Scheme will be starting in September and there has never been a better time to consider the apprenticeship option.
